Community Village School Projects

These projects from the heart of Sumatra Project’s after-school education program, which has been operating since 2016. They aim to bridge the educational gap faced by offering accessible, high-quality English lessons outside of regular school hours. As a teaching volunteer, you’ll contribute directly to this mission-preparing lessons, leading engaging activities, and helping students build confidence in their spoken and written English.

Whether you’re leading a group game, helping with pronunciation, or guiding students through basic grammar, your presence will provide encouragement and exposure to real English usage-something many local schools are unable to offer. Volunteers are welcomed not only as teachers, but as a mentors and role models in the community.
