Sumatra Volunteering Project
“Protecting Oceans, Empowering Communities”

Are you looking for more than just a typical trip around Sumatra? Want to experience the island through the eyes of locals and explore places most tourists never see? Ever dreamed of stepping into a classroom or diving into conservation work? This might be the sign you’ve been waiting for.
Join our meaningful volunteer program where you’ll connect with local communities and contribute to protecting marine environments—especially endangered sea turtles. Your time here helps preserve these remarkable creatures and their habitats for generations to come.
What We Do?
We actively support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Sumatra Project—a collaborative initiative committed to building a better, more sustainable future for both the environment and humanity.
At the heart of the project is a vision to inspire changemakers—people who not only understand today’s global challenges but are also empowered to take action. Through hands-on conservation work and community-driven programs, we foster awareness, responsibility, and cross-cultural connection.
By volunteering in Nagari Sungai Pinang, you’ll join a network of passionate individuals making a tangible difference in local communities and ecosystems.
